DIY Body Scrub

I have found the most amazing body scrub and the best thing is that it’s 100% natural and made from ingredients in your cupboard.

What you’ll need:

2 x tbsp ground coffee

2 x tbsp brown sugar

1 x tsp cinnamon

1 x tsp of honey

The honey makes your skin super soft (if only we could bathe in it) thank you bees! And the sugar and coffee act as a high intensity scrub.

Mix and use in the shower twice a week. This mixture can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.

Hi there…

When it comes to being more ‘Beagle’ it really is more than a concept, here we view it as a way of thinking, a way of projecting our ideas. Sharing our experiences with you to give and offer our most honest opinions.

As we’re new to this virtual game, our site will be an eccentric and eclectic mash up of our current passions until we find our niche; so KR will be bringing you her cooking and drawing and me KW, will offer you beauty blogs and random things I tend to turn my hand to – so as exploring infants to this hugely already saturated world of blogging I welcome you to ‘Be More Beagle’

Gin and Tonic Cup Cakes

Want to get your bake on but looking for something a little bit more grown up, try these Gin and Tonic cupcakes, they are always a hit and are light and fluffy with a sharp zest of lime.

This recipe makes about 9 cupcakes so double up if you want to make more.

Ingredients for the Cakes:

175g Unsalted Butter

175g Caster Sugar

175g Self Raising FlourBombay Sapphire

2 Eggs

6 tbsp Tonic Water

4 – 6 tbsp Gin (I used Bombay Sapphire which is delicate and had to add more, Hendricks would be better but add and taste)

Ingredients for the butter Icing:

250g Unsalted Butter

500g Icing Sugar

2 x Juice of LimeLime

6 tbsp Gin (add and taste)

Method:

  1. Mix the sugar and butter together in a mixing bowl, once creamed add the eggs gin and tonic water, and then sieve the flour into the mixture.
  2. Pre heat your oven to gas mark 8/200 degrees and add the mixture evenly to muffin cases, I used pink ones. Bake for 18-20 mins
  3. For the icing, mix together the butter and icing sugar adding the sugar in stages, then add the lime juice and gin to taste. Pipe on once your cakes are cool and add a wedge of Lime for decoration.

Best served in the pink cupcake cases to give it that party feel!
